I’m Slowly Replacing Every Towel in My House With Geometry
I bought one. Then another. This is apparently how towel loyalty begins.
I did not set out to become a person with strong opinions about towels.
And yet.
I bought one of their Kitchen Tea Towels because I liked the pattern. That was really the entire thought process.
Then I used it.
It was actually absorbent. It dried ridiculously fast. It didn’t turn into a damp little heap next to the sink. And unlike most highly functional household objects, it was also something I actually wanted hanging in my kitchen.
So I bought another.
Then I started putting them in the bathrooms too.
Then there were seasonal ones.
At some point, this stopped being a towel purchase and became an ongoing investment in Geometry.
Eventually, all of our old towels were handed over to my husband and relegated to project towels.
Painting. Cleaning something questionable. Whatever is happening in the basement.
The Geometry towels live upstairs now.
WHY THEY’RE IN ROTATION
They’re thin without feeling flimsy, absorb a genuinely surprising amount of water, and dry quickly enough that I’m not constantly grabbing a vaguely damp towel.
But the patterns are probably what got me.
There are enough patterns that I can swap them around seasonally without turning my house into a full-blown holiday display. I use the same Kitchen Tea Towels in both the kitchen and as hand towels in the bathrooms.
Apparently I have opinions about which patterns belong in which rooms.
This is where we are now.
Would a normal towel accomplish the basic task of being a towel?
Of course.
Do I want the normal towels back?
Absolutely not.
