Your Patio Is Too Far From Your Refrigerator

The housewarming gift for people who should not have to go inside every time they need more wine.

My friends live in a refurbished Brooklyn brownstone. Their condo is on the second floor. Their outdoor space is on the roof.

Their refrigerator is not on the roof.

Obviously, this was a problem I could solve.

So, when they invited us over for the first time, I brought them a YETI wine chiller.

Is this a traditional housewarming gift? Probably not.

Is it significantly more useful when getting another bottle of wine requires leaving the roof and going back downstairs? Absolutely.

It keeps a bottle cold without needing ice, looks good enough to leave sitting out, and—most importantly—eliminates at least one completely unnecessary trip down the stairs.

I consider this excellent Guest Behavior.
